History

In the early 1960’s, before private equity firms existed, founder Sheldon Lubar created our Professional Ownership^® strategy. The idea then, as it is now, was to serve companies as a knowledgeable, sophisticated private investor by providing access to capital, strategic planning and management support.

In his first experience putting Professional Ownership^® to work, Sheldon Lubar acquired Sorgel Electric Corp. Five years later, Sorgel had increased revenues three times and was aquired by Square D. Corp. for a record return on investment. The proceeds from that sale were re-invested in new acquisitions.

Fifty years later, this tradition of partnering with exceptional management teams to achieve sustainable growth continues under the leadership of David Lubar, President and CEO.
